About the voice acting...

Did you all forget? I think it was chapter 13: "Forget About Freeman" where you are captured and tossed into a trash compactor, and must escape.

The grunts that ambush you have a line of dialgue which resembles the Black Mesa Mod grunt diaglue. So the over the top cliche bad guy voices is pretty good.

I've been waiting for this since I was in college. I remember finding out about it and playing HL1 to celebrate. I graduated in 2007 to give you some kind of time-frame there.

Yes, as of January 1st 2010 it was "When it's ready". Before that it was "2009".

Things happen - arranging a project like this is a very large undertaking and even major studios with lots of experience overshoot deadlines.

Personally I wouldn't tack a date onto anything unless I was getting paid to finish it by then, or I was already 99% done.

This is going to be great. I wasn't really huge into the half life series at all and played the first one quite a while after it came out. I can't wait to replay it on the source engine.

How anyone can complain that a fan made project isn't meeting a specific deadline is beyond me. The people making it probably have other things going on in their lives as well, and don't feel the pressure to either overwork themselves to the point where they aren't enjoying it any more, or release a product that they feel is unfinished. I would imagine that's why they switched to a "when it's ready" deadline to feed to the public after they didn't release it when they initially expected to.

I could care less about the project anymore its been 8 years and its still in progress. If it ever comes out ill play it but if it does not come out oh well. So much better things to do then worry about this over hyped project thats taking way to long to be released anyways
