So I've got an asus k53sv
i7-2670qm
4gb ram ddr3 1333hz
1gb gt 540m
replaced hdd with ssd m4 256gb
Now, I was playing l4d2 the other day at the native 1366x768 res with med/high specs. Windows suddenly popped up and said I'm lacking memory and then auto-killed the game. I had chrome+vuze with nothing dling up at the same time. I don't remember it happening prior to the os re-install and the ssd, so I was wondering if there was something I did wrong during the installation etc, or whether I'm really just lacking the ram to run l4d2 and a couple chrome windows with 4gb ram? I'm never under 1.3gb ram in use with NOTHING open. Is that typical? chrome gets me close to 2.5. I ordered 8gb of crucial ram but I'm just curious if there is some memory leak or something going on because I don't remember l4d2 being such a taxing game in the past. Plus the game should be able to run on a comp with 1gb ram according to steam spec info, so I just found it hard to accept that it wasn't getting by on 4gb. Thanks for any suggestions and input in advace!
