Guys? I have a question...
I have here LG Flatron 775FT PC monitor, that served me amazingly great over the years! Unfortunately, it started making some noises lately, as if someone is throwing bits of gravel onto the glass panel, and then the entire screen flickers. IDK, it's difficult to describe the noise, it's almost like a miniature explosion, or perhaps even power outburst, sparks!
It started very small and VERY rare, but now it happens almost every day, with pretty loud noise. Furthermore, my monitor seems to be losing its screen brightness, as the picture gets more & more darker. I don't know if that's related to noise problem, but thought I'd mention it nevertheless.
I'm not asking this because I want to get it repaired, I do realize this is beyond repairs (especially because LCDs are pretty cheap nowdays), but is there any danger of implosion and/or power outbursts into my face, from this noise problem? I'd just want to use it until it dies completely, then I'll get something else, it seems wrong to throw away a monitor that works OK... (More-less)
Thanks!
