Right so I check my EOC Stats several times a day. Dunno why. I alway look at people that I am about to overtake as well. Like nafljhy. They have not folded since the end of '09. I was wondering if anyone here was from the EOC site and was going to see if they could clear the list a bit. I mean almost 3 years with no points pretty much means that they are not returning. Perhaps after a year they are temporarily removed and when/if they start folding again they are readded? Just a thought.

I know that they've discussed removing the tracking of inactive users (see: main page, first post) to reduce work load, but I'm not sure they'd ever actually remove users from the list altogether...that'd create a difference between EOC's stat rankings and actual points / Stanford's, I'd think.

(ps: I definitely check my stats a few times a day too smile.gif, always trying to out-run anyone coming at me!)

yea i think that would be a great idea... i mean its hard to judge where you will be in a week lets say cause theres 100 names greyed out....

The EOC ranking is based on total points not who is active or not. Plain and simple they out rank you, you'll eventually pass them.

You will pass people quite frequently and make large jumps in rank until you get to the range where I am at. I have been in the 130s for quite awhile now. Your user summary shows your conquests and threats and gives a rather accurate estimate of where you will be in a given period of time if you are a consistent folder.

i know but maybe it jsut doesnt display inactive folders... leaves them in teh table just not on teh screen. Its kind of chuncky to look at the list adn have to scroll 2 pages to find maybe 30 ppl not greyd out...

Regardless if they are grey or not you have to pass them in total points. They are in fact the easiest to figure out when you will pass them as they don't have any points being added.

i know but an example is in our team page. no offence but i dont much care for people im passing that are iunactive. It fun to be able to see friends and people you know on your overtake list not just greyed out people... i understand its about total and im nto arguing that im just saying that if im in 365th spot on teh team and the next 30 people are inactive its irrelevant to me and im sure enough other people. not saying there spot vanishes just that its not displayed...

I look at it this way... The people above me have earned their place (maybe not all, lol). Why would I be inconsiderate enough to wish their stats away when they have stopped folding?
Buy more hardware and fold more if you dont like their gray name above yours.

but there a difference i have about 200 grey names between me and you.... i agree there stats arnt going anywhere im jsut saying when i look at my overtake list i would rather see people i know as active folders not some one ive never known because there folded on a server for a month and stopped.... i agree with you that they have earned there keep there but i wouldnt mind maybe a list where i can disable the greyd names

I'm at the Rank 246(and have been for the last few months) area and all I see above me for the most part for the next 50-75 people that I have to pass are all inactive and have been for some time. Many for a year or more. Some for around 3 years. Have they earned their spots? Perhaps. But many have folded for a few month here and there and then stopped all together. That's not earning it in my book. As suggested above maybe a Dedicated Folders listing? Or the option to not see the inactive folders?
