7770 Crossfire

Im thinkin on CF my wife rig with 7770's. Only have 1 ATM, But i want to make sure its worth it b4 i try to get another one.. Ive been thinking on trying sell/trade the 7770 and getting 2 older cards.. I dont think i can afford a 2nd 7770 atm,. frown.gif Got this one on a GREAT deal.

So my question is. Should i try to save up and get a 2nd 7770?? Or sell this one and use the cash and add a little extra with it and get 2 older cards to CF? confused.gif

Are you going to be doing anything graphic intensive? What're the computer specs? Gotta make sure it doesn't get bottle necked wink.gif

For a similar amount of cash couldn't you sell your 7770 and buy a single 7870 or 7950? Would be a much better choice than strapping two mid-range cards together (what happens when a game you want to play has lousy crosfire drivers?).

Yea.. forgot to tell that..

She does play games.. Not let we do.. like. new prototype 2, dead island.,bioshock 1 & 2. stuff like that

Its a Asus ROG Maximus Formula x38, with q6600, OC'ed 3.1gz(H50), crucail ballistix ddr2 6400 4x2gb, rocketfish 600watt..

EDIT: Radom, thats very true.. Wasnt thinking about ATI driver issues...

No sig rig showing. I "think" the q6600 even OC'd will bottleneck, not sure though. Does she play games at maxed out graphics? If not, I don't see how she's getting problems with 1 card tongue.gif

Some games she can max out with no issues.. Just the real graphic intense games that lags alil.. O yea... Res 1600x900 60hz.. This is what she told me.. thats she wants to play games and it look good(not max) and dont lag.. She was on a ol 650I mobo with a E6750. =(equals) Bottleneck
