If you want slow moving fans to be installed as you also want the rig to be quiet I would go for Alphacool ST30 Full Copper 240 radiator which is just under 30mm thick, it has proven to be the best rad for under 1000 rpm fans. If the noise is not issue buy Stealth GT Slim 240 as since they are high FPI work well with high speed fans. You will have to hovever either put the fans on the top and rad inside or rad on the top and fans inside the case. Both options have pros and cons. I don't really have a choice because there is only clearance for normal 25mm fans, not bigger.

I had a similar problem, but the space was 43mm, so I managed to put the rad and Scythe Slip Stream Slim 12mm on the bottom, have a look:


Had to go with 120mm radiator as 240 would not fit, due to VRMs on the other side... I know I could put the rad on top of the case and fans inside or vice versa, but decided instead to go 2x120mm rad with push/pull configuration plus 1x120mm rad in with push fan only-this is a work in progress wink.gif. I may decide in the end to fit 240 rad on the top and fans outside the case, but I will see what result would I have with 3rd radiator, if it will be satisfactory I will stick to such config smile.gif
To help you decide if you will go with push or pull fans have a look on this website.

Hi and welcome back from holiday.
1. Do not need to worry about mixing metals as long as you add some corrosion inhibitor to the water. I know that copper/brass/nickel are not far on the galvanic index, but over a long period of time some corrosion may occure.
2. If you are planing to install the res on top of the you could as well go for the cheapest one and couple it with the pump using male to male 1/4" coupler...
3. Add some 90 and 45 degrees compression fittings to avoid going too much around with the tubes.

I have made some seroius mods to my config, I have not taken any photos yet, but on top of the case I installed XSPC EX280 res with 2xCougar 140mm fans in push mode only. It required to use a dremel to cut the holes for the tubes to go to the rad which is sitting on top of the case, but it was worth it, as coolant temps are not higher than a degree Celsius above the ambient...
