Help me with my graphics problems

Thread Starter
I just build a new rig. The graphics card is XFX 6870. Monitor is 23 inch ACER LED. Windows 7 does not recognize the make and model of monitor at first, so I installed the driver. So I was able to change the resolution to native 1080P. However whenever it boots up only windows only use 22 inch of my screen, with blank spaces around the monitor. I went to AMD control panel and change the settings so it will expand to use 23 inch screen size.

However everytime windows boots up, I have to wait a while before windows 7 will expand to 23 inch screen. I have no other problems. Curious to note that Crysis 1 will only use the 22 inch screen space.

Anyone have an idea what happened?

Thanks

Is it plugged in via HDMI? If so, this is the fix: http://josiahmanson.com/prose/overscan/

Set screen to native (or what the maker name it)in gpu (amd)set overscan/underscan won't be to zero set it to 0 .in gpu find résolution set it to 1920 x 1080 p hertz set to 59.97(it will show 59, once set it will still show 60 .it is at 59.tip:if you view vidéo online?set gpu to rgb 4.2.2(not what you want on a HDTV).
game or gaming video?rgb 4.4.4.this setting work best in windowed mode (I like borderless)
