Well my range is around 150 on a Processor, so If any AMD can out perform I guess Im going towards AMD. What AMD Processor and MoBo could get me neat C2D Status though OC'ed?

How much do you have to spend on the mobo?

You might be able to squeeze together a C2D build

Well I'm trying to keep my price range under 550 bucks. I'd like the Processor to be quick, and I need to have it be able to play CoD 2 on high settings and FEAR on High Settings, but graphics is a different story.

As for the mobo make it anything around 120 if have to, long as it will OC good.

Ok. Well at the moment I'm not going for the best, and I need it cheap if I want to spend. It doesnt have to be a C2D, since eventually Im upgrading the current XPS Im on to one.

So if you can Make it AMD, around a 4000+, and a little cheaper then those that will overclock near C2D speed.

Get an opty 165 and OC that. Usually you can get one that can go 3.0Ghz on air with low Vcore.

That would cost almost as much as the C2D, it wouldn't be worth it

The best Intel CPUs other than the C2Ds for OCing are the Dothans. Those overclock like crazy, run very cool, and consume little power. My Dothan at 2.5 GHz outperfoms my Opty at 3.0 GHz.
