The problem though is they are making huge generalizations on design. You say the laptop. The have a patent for all laptops that are wedge shaped. That is pretty much every laptop except for the older ones that were rectangular. Hell, they didn't even come up with the design, Sony did back in 2004 with the sony X505. The only thing was that they didn't make an absurd patent on it.
It would have been like Ford patenting the automobile, then suing Chevy, dodge, gmc, bmw, ect because their automobiles also had 4 wheels, doors and windshields. They didn't invent it, but they mass produced it and they sold well.
