True, but obviously in cases like this it's a lot easier for everyone except Steam to deal with a class action suit. devil.gif

I ended up purchasing a ton of Steam games because of the deals they have, but most of them I dont even play. I wish I could trade them in for store credit somehow lol

They almost certainly can't take away your right to file a class action either.

OT, but there is a section in the new SSA relating to a "Steam Marketplace", so maybe in the near future you will be able to trade games. Who knows.

For the millionth time, they're not taking away your games. You never owned the games.

You agreed to use of a service, you paid to have games put on that service.

And no, class action lawsuits are not protected by the 7th amendment.

*It's shocking how many people never actually read the terms to begin with, then feel slighted when a company does what you agreed they could do*

This is beside the point anyway.

they don't take away your right to file a class action suit, they just reserve the right to close your account if you do so.

No EULA removes your legal rights
You still have the right to sue them, you are simply agreeing not to. If you go ahead and do it anyway then they will revoke your account on the basis of breach of contract.

EULA CAN"T TAKE AWAY YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS

Again, EULA is not bulletproof, just because it's written in EULA doesn't mean it's legal.
one example, if you have an ongoing wireless contract with AT&T, they can't change the terms, otherwirse the contract will be revoked. that's a fact.

the arguement about "CAN CHANGE THE TERMS ANYTIME" IS INVALID, because if they can legally do that, they will just present you a simple terms so that you will agree with it, then later on they will add lots of stuff, price increase, monthly payments, etc. etc. then you will have no choice but to agree with it because they will threaten you that if you don't agree they will take away all the stuffs that you already purchased and won't give you a refund.

I'm pretty sure that's illegal too.

If you agreed to it with a clause that allows them to change it, the terms are obviously not that simple.
