this is like itunes, if i don't agree with their new TOS, i won't gonna be able to use itunes anymore, i won't gonna be able to buy anything from itunes starting at that point, but i get to keep the LICENSES
of the videos, audios etc. that i bought from it.
steam is basically just a market place, nothing more, you buy game LICENSES from them, download the game from them, then that's it. you run the game from your machine, not from their server. you don't even activate you game from their server, you activate it from the game's developer/publisher servers.
if you refuse to agree with their new terms, they should just prevent you from accessing their marketplace, nothing more, they don't have the rights to take away the licenses that you already bought, specially if they are not gonna give your money back.

Best thing to do for everyone in the future is just buy multiplayer only games on Steam, if its a strong single player game like Skyrim then u would be better off just getting the retail game at launch at GS/Target as Steam maybe gives a 5 dollar discount max on new releases unless its a Valve release like CS or HL. If the game is good, Steam knows that and they keep the price the same as retai even 6 months afterl so why buy a licence over the real copy for a difference of 5 bucks on certain games? Also if u buy the game and it sucks, u can return it to a Brick and Mortar in some cases or at least sell on CL for a 10 buck loss, but with Steam..........
Only game I feel I got on Steam at a bargain was L4D collection. Games like AVP, Just Cause 2, Duke Nukem Forever were so cheap but they were cheap for a reason. I could have used that cash to buy a game I would actually play like Skyrim,Diablo 3,Portal 2,etc.
