This is a big part of why I think GOG.com is such a consumer friendly model. Once you download your game installer it is yours and no one can take it away from you or disable your access to it in anyway. I stated this in a similar thread, but I am seriously thinking twice before I drop more money towards Steam. My purchases for this month have been roughly zero. They have a lot of my cash now and I must now "Pray that they don't alter the deal any further." --Darth Vader.
GOG on the other hand has been making me pretty poor lately. Especially the FPS sale they had this past weekend. Mmmmm.... Blood 2. "How do you like your flesh cooked?"
