Asus sabertooth is the best. Very nice board and i love the uefi. super easy to work. i was able to pull a 4.5ghz 24/7 oc on a fx4100 with a hyper 212. not to sure on the core unlocking part. never used any of that.

One thing is beside unlocking the CPU core is to know how many power phases you want on a motherboard. I know in order to OC really high beside having good cooling is having a board with 8 phases. The Sabertooth has 8+2 power phase which helps.

Also check this link Good info here. [Official] ASUS sabertooth 990FX Owners Club. Also maybe this will help deciding which board to pick up for your OCing and core unlocking adventures. [Official]Gappos little Deneb/Thuban overclocking guide with too many smileys. One more thread that is good AMD Zosma 960T/1600T/1605T CPU Club. I hope this info help make your decision much easier. thumb.gif

Check out my signature I have done core unlock, and OC both 4x and 6x core on a fairly hot room. Is why I haven't push pass the Ghz I have reached so far.

check this out . . .

http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=CROSSHAIRIV-FORMULA-R&cat=MBB

set your multiplier/fsb to 16/250. try 1.38v for Quad and 1.4v for Hex. Lower your HT to 2000MHz/ auto vcore, Cpu/Nb to 2750/1.375v or lower/higher, and Ram to near the manufacturer's specs. your 212 should manage the Quad setting with ease. oh, you can try enabling C&Q while leaving C1E and Turbo disabled. Just a suggestion.

EDIT: it might not come with an i/o shield. but it restricts airflow, so why own one?

Whtever you decide, most overclocking boards have profiles. Set 1 for encoding/editing with 6 cores, one for gaming with 4 cores (probably gonna be more stable)

Thanks. I used that guide, and I am a member of that club. I am probably gonna go with the Sabertooth. I wanted 1 when I built my system, but I have never seen 1 for $100 before. Makes me a little sad I paid that for my current mobo.

I still don't know what this CH4 is. I can't find 1 on geeks or any other site. The M4A89GTD PRO looks good, but again, I can't find it for sale anywhere.

A great mobo indeed, but I think Im leaning towards the Sabertooth. Only $5 more and it has the newer chipset.

Yes. I have this setup on my current mobo.

That board looks decent. It has some mixed reviews though. For the money, I think an ASUS referb is a better value.

Thanks for your advice and links guys.
