I just sold my 6970 and picked up a 7850. I used to run my monitor via dvi as my main desktop and my tv, a vizio E3D420VX, as the 2nd display via hdmi. It wasn't mirrored but was an extension of my desktop. I installed the 7850, updated the drivers, and hooked everything up the same as before. But now my tv will not display anything. The gpu recognizes it as the 2nd display but on the tv it says "format not supported" or something very similar.
I thought maybe the hdmi port was bugged on my card but I hooked it up to my monitor and it worked fine.
To make matters worse when I was messing around with the catalyst settings I accidentally changed the tv to my primary display and now with both of them hooked up I can no longer access the CCC. When I open CCC it is on the primary display, the tv, and I cannot change it back...
Looking for any help regarding the reason the 7850 does not play nice with my tv and a quick fix to change my CCC back to defaults without being able to see it
I guess I could reinstall the driver and start over but don't really want to atm.
