Need help choosing a case

Looking for something for an atx mainboard

Don't really need the space of a full tower, but wouldn't mind one because I want decent temps

Putting a 680 in there, maybe Sli'ng it later down the road.

Been thinking about the full tower nzxt phantom, which is a bit expensive here.
I wonder if the 410 would do a similar job in cooling? What if I decide to go Sli with it ?


Then there's the corsair 600t, which is a 10/10 in looks, but what about the airflow? Will it be enough? According to some review the airflow is "only ok"

I'm open for other suggestions also!

lian li pc-k9w. plenty of airflow, smooth and understated look, easy to build in, removeable hdd cages, window etcetc

Thanks, but I think that looks a little too serious for me. Is the 600t airflow still that bad if I remove the HDD cages, or maybe zip some more fans blowing onto the gpu ?

well its a big case, and bigger case = further for the air to travel. removing the cage would mean less obstruction, but most people ive talked to generally comment that the fans that come with the 600t/650d are pretty weak in terms of airflow. i guess you could always switch out the fan? im not sure if zip tying more fans onto the gpu will do anything, perhaps you could try attaching them to the otherside of the hard drive cage? would make it easier to pull air towards your hot components, and you wouldnt have to sacrifice storage space either. i believe the new c70 vengeance or whatever its called has this inbuilt

how about something like the rv02 or ft02?

If you remove the plastic grille that holds the dust filter to the front and top mesh panels, move the HDD cage to the lower position, then airflow is dramatically increased and noise is reduced. The 200mm fans are pretty crappy though, and would certainly benefit with replacements.

Nzxt phantom -135€
Graphite 600T Se white for 140€

All shipped. What would you guys go for ?

I would defiantly go with the 600t, It is a nice case, I just started my 5th built on it and the wire management was a no brainer. It has a lot of space in it... Corsair really know how to make em... GL with you Choices...

Ooh by the way it is $119 on newegg after rebate right now... biggrin.gif

Unfortunately newegg doesn't ship to Europe. Thanks for the info. I'd def go for it, but it goes for frickin 140 EUROS here.

have you considered RV02-E? since you don't plan to go liquid, why not go for the best air cooling case?

only thing you'd have to worry about is the proper selection of GPU cooler and everything else is good.
