Hello. First time poster and all. Totally at a loss, so I suppose I'll just ask the pros right away.
I have my AMD FX-8120 overclocked to 4.3 GHz stable (voltage set to 1.4, so maybe a bit high, I don't know). I think I have turned off all things that would screw with my stability in BIOS.
When running benchmark or Prime95 however, CPU-Z shows my clock speed going up and down like crazy. It looks as if it's the multiplier changing around. It doesn't just go down lower than the set clock speed, but even far above it. Seen 5.5 GHz at times for example.
I'm not quite sure why this is happening, but can I fix it? Any info you need from me? Motherboard is Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3. BIOS version is F4. All temps are stable and not too high.
