Xbox 360 Controller For PC?

Thread Starter
I'm thinking of picking up a few Racing Games and I'm not to fond on using my keyboard to drive. I own a few Xbox Wireless Controllers, should I purchase the Wireless Receiver or just buy a Wired Controller? The thing I'm not sure about is will I run into problems with going wireless?

Sorry if this is not the right thread. Please move it if need be.

If you have the official wireless reciever and not a third party one (of which some can be rather devious) you should have no problems. Obviously wired saves you having to get a battery pack and charging cable, though if you have all that already then just get the reciever and have fun.

There's one thing I've always wondered. When you use a controller on a racing game, you can pull the trigger half in, and the car will only go that fast, so you have alot more control. I know that's how it is on consoles but is it the same as on PC with a controller?

The wireless ones do not cause problems at all. I use mine all the time and I've never once had a problem.

However, if you don't have a pad already, then get the wired, since you need to buy a wireless pad and wireless receiver others. I already had a pad from my 360, so I just bought the receiver.

Well that depends... I'm using wireless w/ no problems, but I keep things that operate on the 2.4GHz range to a minimum as to minimize interference.

Yes Xbox for Windows controllers have sensitive buttons so harder you push then harder the reaction. I love it in Dirt3 Gymkhana events as it gives such control biggrin.gif
