just use the ps3 for exclusives. I wouldnt invest into the cross platform games as they always run and look worse on PS3.

I think you can get a used original playstation 3 for around $150 these days. The lasers tend to wear out, unfortunately; I had to replace the one on mine last year; it's not that expensive, but there was only a single place that would do it in all of toronto, so I would assume finding a place that would do it is pretty hard.

I hated that game. There were so many plot holes, most centered around the police being the worst police force in existence.

How is the PS3 in regards to Blu-Ray loading times?
I have a stand alone already and an HTPC that I can get a drive for...

pretty mediocre. My PC's drive loads 5x faster. although its just easier to rip the blu ray disc into an .MKV and watch that way

Its funny all these PS3 "classic" games people are recommending. I bought a PS3 a couple years back because of those games and thought they all sucked. Guess Im too much of a PC elitist....

lol, I've found that too; I have not found a single game that wasn't released for PC as well that I liked. The worst one, though, was little big planet; it would have been so much easier to create levels with a keyboard and mouse.

You can still get the PS3 now, its not at all late. Rumours sighting a new PS to come out late 2013-early 2014?

You'll easily get your money's worth out of it.
