So whenever I play a frostbite 2 engine game while in game i get the stupid message from windows that says "your computer is preforming slowly change to windows 7 basic". I have a pretty good system and cant stand this bug. 7 basic looks horrible and boring. Is this an engine bug?

I get that sometimes too.
It's not really a big deal as it doesn't mean anything. You can just change it back once you are done gaming.
Windows wants to use your gpu while your gaming and that is why it says it is performing badly because the game is using your gpu when windows wants to.

I get that too. After trying every possible fix so Win7 doesn't notify me of pretty much anything I just went ahead and made two batch files to start and stop windows aero. Right before I play I just turn it off with one click, and back on once I'm done playing.
Save in notepad as a .bat file.

It's 1 of 2 things. 1. your running out of Vram, in which case you'd mostly get a DX issue/error. It's most likely 2. Running out of system memory.
Here's how you can pretty much solve this, save a few 100MB of Vram and System memory.
Right click the game your having issues with, right click the .exe
Go to properties
Tab over to the Compatability tab
Check the box where it says "disable desktop composition" and hit apply and ok.
It'll change your windows theme setting to basic or, non aero setting. It'll change back to your win aero setting after you close the game. This should resolve your issue. Hopefully your comfortable running in the basic theme while gaming. It's not a big deal but sure saves alot of resources.
Glad to help!
