Cleaning desktop with Blow-off duster

Are there any precautions or things to take note when doing so?

I've got myself a can and did some research. Apart from unplugging the power from mains and any powered device, are there any other things to take note of?

Make sure you don't spin the fans when blowing off the dust and you should be good.

If your going to be using the cans of compressed air make sure not to spray while holding sideways/upside down otherwise you may spray moisture into your desktop.

I must say the "Blow Off Duster" pressurised air can I've got is not up to expectations. I could only spray for a few seconds and the whole can runs cold and the psi went down (power of the air coming out becomes weak). Then I'd have to let it set for awhile before I can get a full powered blow.

I use this duster instead.

Those things are the world's biggest con!

How is it that you can buy a can of shaving foam, deodorant, air freshener, or just about anything else for less than a can of air?

I use an airbrush (with no paint in it, obviously) to channel air from my compressor.

Either way, have a vacuum cleaner hose opposite where you're dusting to pick up at least some of what you're blowing out, otherwise half of it ends up back where it started.

in line air filter + 125 psi = best duster ever

just make sure you do it outside, or it will go EVERYWHERE lol

This is how I clean the computer
1. Switch off the PC
2. Use a soft brush to loosen the dirt on the MB,Fans,Radiator grills
3. Use an Industrial blower at lowest speed to blow them off
4. Wipe the fan blades, case with a soft cloth

Using Air cans is risky due moisture condensation
