Scrolling noise

  • What happened?
    Literal scrolling noise. Pops, static, hissing when scrolling - sometimes even when not scrolling

  • Are you able to reproduce this problem consistently?
    Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

  • What steps did you take to reproduce this problem?
    When I am able to reproduce the problem, it is when a page of thread has a Gif in it (either in a post, or Avatar) and I have Zune media player open. It appears to happen both in FF and Chrome. Did not check IE

  • What action did you expect to occur when this bug appeared?
    Silence?

  • Any additional information that will help us diagnose the issue:
    There is a chance it might be my sound card, as it does not seem to happen on my laptop.
    Sound card: Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS
  • Browser, active browser add-ons, and operating system:
    It appears to happen both in FF and Chrome. Did not check IE

This forum is for bugs with the Huddler platform that OCN is using right now.

 

Anyway, it sounds to me like your sound card is dying.  I had the same problem with my Audigy 2 ZS and it didn't matter which driver I tried.  So, I replaced it with an XtremeGamer and I was pleasantly surprised by a big improvement in the audio quality.

It's like advanced alien technology! :)

My bad then, the forum description sounds like it's bugs involving OCN in general.

This only happens to me on OCN forum threads - no where else.
It's very possible that the card is dying though - just wish it wasn't. sounds amazing otherwise.
