Hey guys, as some might recall/remember, im most probably going to get a new rig around december. there is this big chance i will, but since the gov. isnt so great here in turkey as some might know. so, this is how it works: when you retire in turkey, you get a big paycheck, and then start to get monthly payments, all according to your profession. my mum will get around 20-30k in TL, you do the math. if she does, she promised me to spare 4k in TL or $2k, depending on which is more at the time of purchase. my dad also promised me an iPhone, since i got a 100 from math and a 96 from science in the high school entrance exam+2 past years of high honored report cards.he promised me a S3, but i told him that the new iphone was around the corner, and so he said he spared 1.8K which is $1k. thinking that the iphone 4s is $750 for 32gb i would have $250 spared from that. thinking 4k in tl is equal to 2.2K in USD, i have approx. $2.4k for a new rig. im not stupid when it comes to hardware, so i configured a build for myself, which costs $2.5k but i have 100 or maybe more $ spared. You can give me whole new ideas about the build, or just comment about it.

(Generated by PCPartPicker 2012-08-14 05:57 EDT-0400)

when added the monitor ($353) the mouse ($100) and the headphone+mic($65), i reach $2504 which is my spending limit.
Options (Click to show)
+buying a P9X79 from MC to get a $50 discount, which be used for more ram or extensions
+buying the mobo+ram derick's trying to get rid of, it totals as much as a extreme6+sammy 16gb ram
+going with a 3570K+Sabertooth Z77 rig and save $100, which then be used for complete extensions or a mech. keyboard. btw, i know i wont get alot of perf. difference from 3820 setup, but when 8 core Haswells come, according to rumors they will be LGA2011, so easier upgrade.
+going with dwood's bench, that isnt a solid solution, waiting on the pricing info.also dwood himself owns a switch 810, a lil' comparisation wont hurt imo tongue.gif
What I Have (Click to show)
-A mechanical HDD, 500GB is more than enough for me, especially after a ssd is added
-A DVD Drive
-A Logitech G19
-Headset(not real gaming headset, enough for me tho)
What I need/want (Click to show)
-Mouse(any other mouse which is cordless and still looks beautiful+has great specs+not a razer)
-Microphone(anything high quality, and is around $70-80)
-Basically everything (exceptions above) in a usual rig
-Speakers(Dayton B652's seem nice, i need an amp i guess if i go that way?)
-Speakers(on a diff. thread, i was offered the Swan M10, no amp required+2.1)

Edit:I figured the peripherals, just waiting on a selection between 3930K build and the 3820 build. If someone arranges a build with a X79 and a mechanical keyboard, will be very nice of them. btw, for a new build, the money left after picking the peripherals ($518) is $1982, +- 10% is allowed, lets say max $2530 for whole build.

Edit: Will go for the 3930K build, just seems more sensible. Also might get a BlackWidow for cheap rolleyes.gif

so you say i should get the asus and with the $50 saved get the RX360 and maybe better fans? the rx kit is $40 more, and afaik the EX360 performs as the rx, but is slimmer.

not sure if they do it with the x79 platform as well, but microcenter usually combos CPUs and motherboards for an extra $50 off if you buy both while you are there.

i would say the fact that its thinner makes it not as good. you have to think... more surface area= more heat dissipation.
as far as fans go i use delta 113 cfm. they are loud as hell though

@rehab that is how i will save $50 when i get the asus mobo, the asrock isnt available at micro center.

@struddles, you are right, but the tests i've looked at are 3-5C which isnt a big deal, i can add a 240 rad with the $50 i save and most probably get better temps than just one thick rad.

i got some questions,

-should i go for a P9X79 from MC with the proc, and save $50 over the Extreme6
-go for a P9X79 Pro, same price, just a change of mobo from Extreme 6 to P9x79 Pro
-or go for a X79-UD5, again the same price after the $50 off from the combo
-if saving $50 is better, no diff in mobos i mean, i can add that budget to the monitor budget, and get a brand name reliable $400 display, over some kinda fake korean monitors (i know same panel as apple+dell, no warranty kills it for mom and she insists or "she wont pay".hell, any warranty will be invalid in turkey, but they dont get it for some reason.
-killing the custom loop, getting a H100 with new corsair fans, with the left over money($150-180)add that to the case, so a R4E or a Cosmos 2 or a mech. keyboard.

uhh so much decisions! help is appreciated and rep will be given if helpful (mods, not giving rep randomly, it is in TOS to give rep for helping answers, which you probably know better tongue.gif)

What is this machine going to be used for? Gaming? I would see if you can fit 3 x Crossover monitors and 2 x 7970/7950s. That would be amazing, Should be just about the correct budget... Or you can grab a single monitor and a single card and grab some sweet watercooling gear

3 crossovers and 7970CF? all for 2400? it seems impossible.but my main thing is gaming, kinda bored of laggy gameplay on 4650, bad gfx at ps3 and not the g of gaming in mac os x.i can upgrade things in my current rig, but i was planning more of a new build since i was planning to reuse my current rig as a silent (after some tweaking, 50dBa is highest i recorded with the crappy ipod mic) and dedicated minecraft server.
