As far as I understand raw input means the game skips any in-game mouse settings and uses the raw dpi settings of your mouse, right? Since 400dpi are rather low for raw input, are higher dpi mice not the better option for this? Aren't the optical mice not at disadvantage then, since they work best with lower dpi? How do the pro's handle this?
As for games without raw input, does setting the mouse dpi as high and in-game sens as low as possible give you the best and smoothest result? And what about those optical mice, such as the Zowie AM, that has rather mediocre performance at higher dpi? Or doesn't that really matter and I can keep my 450dpi andadjust the in-game mouse sensitivity as necessary, without any real difference?
