[EuroGamer] Codemasters responds to criticism about loss of in-car view in Grid 2 - Page 4

This is disappointing. But yeah, give Console racers the racing movie experience they want!

Doesn't really matter to me though, i made my decision to never buy a codemasters game again when they took down grid's multiplayer.

Gear mentioned in this thread:

this 5% figure i think is total bullpoop. This choice they made is just to cut costs because it's a much less serious/arcade style game, which is fair enough i spose (and yes, i expect consoles played some role in this decision too)
And although it's cool that they released this response, it's just dug themselves a bigger hole in my book. I kinda felt after the death of Colin Mcrae the entire Codemasters line of racing games just turned far more arcade-style. Not my thing.

Ya this too

For example, I tend to drift in car and depending what car you have Your style of drifting changes a lot, Say your in a RX7 you will most likely drift closer to the curb on right hand turns or even take wider right hand turns to drift because your viewpoint is sitting on the right side of the car and you have a better sense of what you may hit (opponent or obstacle) and where your front wheels are turning, And vice versa with left hand drive cars.

I hope i worded this in the right way :/

I'm down. Make one of those shared google doc thingies and I'll sign it saying I wont ever buy it until they have cockpit view.

I love me some cockpit. Cockpit lovers unite.

Codemasters can always add the cockpit view later if need be for PC user's... you may not like it but it's worth the wait if they finally decide to do it.

Ram memory isn't being mentioned but rather video card memory is being mention....

they do just not as much as most other bigger names, but do got the community to look to also when it comes to things like this i know several communities that would actually get a kick out of this little tidbit from codemasters and try to make a cockpit view like they did with NFS Most Wanted which worked great i might add.
