Original First Post:

I've lurked enough around here and figured I ought to post up my new build. My Core Duo Quad can only do so much and I think three years is more than enough time for an upgrade. I bought most of the components but need some input on the others. My plan is listed below and pics will be up as soon as progress is made (because who cares for basic product pics?).

CASE: NZXT Switch 810 SE Gunmetal
MOBO: ASRock Extreme 6 Z77
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K
RAM: Corsair Dominator GT 4x4GB
GPU: 2x EVGA Geforce 580 3GB
PSU: Still deciding, but want to try to keep my Corsair HX850.
SSD: Samsung 830 256GB
HDD: WD Caviar Black 1TB + 2TB
COOLING: Custom water loop for CPU and both GPUs, not fully designed yet
ACC: LED MOBO back plate and two LED strips, each wired to a different sound channel; sleeved cables; possible NZXT Sentry Mix fan controller; Lightscribe DVD Burner

My initial idea for the case was gunmetal external, black components, and coloured coolant, LEDs, and sleeved cables. I was thinking purple/violet, but I couldn't find any purple RAM, so I switched to red, but I feel that red is overdone and I have yet to see yellow. I'm going to get an RGB LED strip and play around with the color scheme until I find something I like, but any recommendations are welcomed!

As for feedback on components: I am unsure if my 850W PSU will handle all of this as every calculator says I should have 900-980W, but that's only under full load and I don't think I will ever hit that; so what do you guys think? The other questionable area is the fan controller: I've never had one before and I think it would be beneficial so that I can balance the noise vs heat myself; thus I have no idea what is good and what isn't, I just like the look of the Mix.

I would love some feedback while I gather the rest of my parts!

Well I finally finished my water cooling loop and the parts came in today. Cooling parts list is two posts up, so no need to re-post, but I tried to take some picks of them by the case. I'm new to DSLRs and the little was horrible due to the storm, so I am sorry for the bad focusing.

I installed one of the GPU blocks and plate. I was playing around with the Monsoon fittings, too, so they are not in their final positions. I test fit the bottom rad with the AX1200 and it seems that it will fit without much issue considering the shard bend on the PSU cables. It ought to look a lot better once I sleeve them in a few months (last upgrade). I have a section of R3400 in water to see if it clouds or anything.

I still need to figure out the fans I'm buying and which fan controller to run all those fans. I also need to hit the buy button on my second LED strip and the components for the lighting circuit. I ran a test with an RGB strip (for an ambient lighting setup I'm making) to help choose the interior color. The majority of the votes went to purple, so that's what I'm going with.
