yeah, i can tell that it's much quicker than stock. last night, i was running azureus to download anime (bit torrent) and i left my window open by mistake (i have a huge mink blanket so i didn't know) this morning, my computer was running at 13c and the hard drives at 15c each lol. i think when i do more overclocking tests, i'm going to do it at night with my window open and let the temps drop.

To Phaux: try lowering your memory down to 266 settings. at 333 your memory will still be overclocked.

I will try it. I set it to 230x10 last night, and it's been stable all this time. I'll see what I can get with 266 though.

And 13'C is really low... I'm running mid-30's.

the reason why it hit 13c, is because my room was about 40-45F last night since it was a really cold night and i left my window open haha. right now it's at 30c
(update) i can't get it to run stable at 2.45ghz and up. after the fsb hits around 254ish it quits posting

I wish mine could do that. I'd rather have a 939 socket. My FSB is stable at 230, but I've hit 234 before. Not stable, of course. My last board (DFI) got all the way to 255x10... I don't have that board anymore, it died

yeah, i think my problem is the board's voltage. it goes from 1.42 (stock i belive) to 1.48, 1.52, 1.56. and that's it. i need about 1.54 to hit 2.5ghz, but it goes up to 1.56 and it's too much voltage and it crashes the system. last night i ran prime95 to see how hot it would get during the night, and it NEVER got higher than 28c haha

pumped out another 100mhz out of my system (cpu-z verification says 2499, and fsb of 249.98, but it's set to 250)

Model AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (754)
Type Venice
Core 90nm
Stepping LEBBE
Date 0625
Code N/A

Divider 133
Mobo Biostar NF325-A7
BIOS Phoenix Technologies 6.00PG

Stable OCNS3

While running SuperPi, the temps never got higher than 43c, and the voltages stayed very stable. vcore never changed from 1.568v

tch, my idle temps aren't low enough to boot windows at 2.5 right now. as soon as the windows login screen tries starting up, it hangs then restarts. i got my system started up at 7am, when my room temp was in the 50's-60's idle temps were at around 33c. hopefully when my as5 comes in i'll be able to drop the temps. im' using Vantec Thermal Paste that i barly managed to get enough on my cpu. hell, my heatsink isn't actually locked down. i just got it on the tabs, but didn't latch it because it felt to tight
