^ Couldn't have said it better myself. I'll be staying with Windows 7. Have thought about switching to Linux but not completely ready to make the jump just yet.

As long as I can create Rainmeter wonderful desktops I am in no way taking. I might goto a friend's place, see his copy and evaluate it for myself (since he is trigger happy on buying these things).

But the fact about search, and print screen is what I do use, and with that lost, I already am inclined against NOT using it. Since there is this floating thing about 5-10% performance improvement which I do need in encoding but not in games with Bulldozer, and if Piledriver has the same issue, I might consider upgrading, but print screen and search, both are very important to me.

Then for Print Screen, now it's Windows Key + Print Screen.  I don't get it.

 

Maybe I'm going to far by saying this, but these are reason enough for me to not get Windows 8.  That would irritate me more than Huddler.  :)

i still on consumer preview win 8, but i thought i can tap windows key, & search the apps right away confused.jpg, as for the files, i just need click the files in the right pane, you also can do it in keyboard only.

i also don't need press the start button + print screen button to do the job, just press the printscreen button..

did Microsoft change it in Release Preview/RTM version ?

They didn't change it, you can just press the win-key and start typing. It splits apps, files and config into diferent tabs though, with the app-tab showing by default, but it does have the number of results behind each category.

Also, printscreen is working as usual, no need for win+prtscr. These things, at least, are things that shouldn't hold you back from switching.

That being said, for me the benefits outweigh the disadvantages of win8, and I'm sure people will/have come up with ways to make the disadvantages less noticeable/annoying.
