I don't know, BIOS default. I cannot get into BIOS with new sticks to check!

Dual channel confirmed, and tried booting with one stick. Each still not booting.

Try going into the bios with your old ram, and manually setting the ram timings to 3-6-6-8, 2T @ 2.6 volts. Then try installing the new ram. If it still doesnt work then it would appear you recieved doa ram. You could also try updating your bios, though I doubt that would fix your problem.

Ok thanks.

I would have thought this memory would run a bit faster tho.....

Doing that now.......

Well set it to these timings to rule out what he has said, RAM can be really picky, When I changed my RAM I had to do that before it would even boot.

Mine has an SPD of 2-2-2-5 @ DDR400 2.6v but would not boot at this. I needed to change the timings to 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.6v with the old memory then go back into the BIOS once booted and change the timings to SPD and increase the voltage to 3.2v (not that you need to increase your voltage this high, I have "special ones")

Try increasing the voltage to 2.8V instead. That is the general limit for RAM chips.

Yep 2.8-2.9v is the limit for Micron 5B G chips that these sticks use

not to be the bad guy here, but it appears that you bought either overvolted or overheated, or just burnt ram.

Last ditch effort would be to update the bios of the mobo. Sometimes updating the bios can solve motherboard/ram incompatibilities. I would give that a shot, and if that does not work it sounds like you recieved bad ram. In that case contacting the seller is the only recourse unfortunatly. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
