Bitfenix Recon 5 controller questions

Thread Starter
Im thinking about buying this to replace my old FC that caught fire... The thing i like about this is the mobile / iPhone control, so i can finally use my old iPhone for something.

Does anybody have this controller and can comment on it? good/bad things? Does it have a function to turn off the screen like some others do?

The screen can be turned off, and the beeping noise (when you press it) can also be turned off.

A few reviews will be popping up soon, so you may want to check them out.

How does it compare to the Hydra? I know that the Hydra has 30W/ch and I am looking to be able to control at least 3 fans per channel on 2-3 of the channels...

That's the same question i want to ask ....if it can handle two to three fans per channel then Bifenix has done a good job, because the app integration idea is fantastic, i wouldn't mind changing my fan RPM speeds on a nexus 7 or Samsung galaxy III thumb.gif

I have one and aside from the shame it only comes in black its a pretty decent fan controller. Of course the greatest appeal is the web interface control. I have actually wired some lights up to one of the fan headers and able to turn the lights on and off through the interface, which is pretty awesome.

Sorry for bumping a kind of old post, but I just got two of these in today, and have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to connect to both of them through the software, I would really appreciate any help with this. I have spent countless hours with it so far.
