Media Keys on Mechkeyboards?

I'm probably gonna be spamming this place for information about trying getting used to mech keyboards, however I haven't been creating new threads that I haven't already searched a solution for.

Ok, so I just recieved my CM storm trigger and it has media keys, however I had to use a workaround to enable them as they did not work out of the box. As soon as I enabled them from this tutorial everything but the track and play/pause works. They work when itunes is an active window, however they do not work while doing other things, such as gaming (gaming keyboard and it can't do that, pretty stupid rolleyes.gif). So anyone have a solution probably used for other keyboards? I've read around and it doesn't seem to be specific to my board. My last keyboard did this perfectly (Tarantula which had dedicated media keys).

Forgot to state that my media keys are activated through the function keys, for those unfamiliar with the cm storm trigger.

Edit: This seems to have provided a temporary solution. Works with the FN keys while itunes is NOT an active window. Hopefully CM updates their program to fix this.

I remember I had this problem and using a different media player fixed it, try this before you purchase a diff kb.

While I know there's other media players out there that are better than iTunes, I simply can not remove myself from it. It's just too damn hard. Despite import options on others, iTunes will be my go-to music player. There's a first world problem if I ever saw one.
