FUDGE FUDGE FUDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well i received all my parts for my rebuild and had some time to put it together.
did a little mod on the case (will post pictures when i find the camera)
i wanted to test my 7950 before putting on the waterblock, but my system was torn down and none of my friends has the system to test it-so i says "what the hell, just do it" well i did it and my 7950 isnt working.
when i first installed it, it would run until the bios, then shut down, so i put one of my 460s in and installed windows.
tried the 7950 and it would run until the windows screen, then stop. if i try it now. (it is still in the system) it will run for a few seconds then stop.
as for heat, i have had my hand on it when it runs for a bit, but it doesnt seem to get hot, not really even warm.
now i took my time putting on the block, used thermal paste and pads where needed.
i am getting the "No GPU Beeps" from my motherboard.

so does anyone have any info or anything i can try to get this going before i pull off the block and reattach the stock HSF and start a RMA on it.?

i am just going to let my gpu block dangle while i RMA it, is there any problem with that?

thanks.

dimwit, you need to remove every trace of the nvidia driver in your system. i read of others of going as far as doing a fresh install. you can prolly get away with just using this . . .

Thanks for the reply.
It was a fresh install on a new ssd, nothing but windows driver.
Could it be a sensor since i dont have a fan on the card?
This is my first gpu waterblock and i am pretty sure i have it on correctly.

could be, just like the cpu fan header. it has to be occupied. manual for the block does not address the issue?

you can prolly plug one of the case fans (if the plug fits).
