You should probably take a few paragraphs out, you're not supposed to post full articles in news threads.

just googled the guy and Intel was trying to save money(like 30k a year) by hiring him on a certain visa, but they lost more money(apparently about 1b - http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/story?id=6199526&page=1#.UCO-VKOnlt1 ) than just paying an American the extra 30k....

LOL Intel, LOL.

Are you trying to justify this guy stealing from Intel?

I dont believe he was lol

I believe he was simply saying that this could have all been avoided if Intel simply Hired someone else instead of trying to jerk the system around.

but for this guy

what was that old saying dont do the crime unless willing to do the time or somethin lol

3 years in Federal Prison, I bet the foods nice

I don't know how you got that out of his post...

Sounds like he was just highlighing how bad their attempt at saving money turned out.

OH no, I just find it funny that Intel was trying to save money by "outsourcing(essentially by hiring a non American)" and it cost them more money than they were trying to save a year...

I think the guy should have got more prison time because of the amount of money was lost, but that is just my opinion. Only good thing about this is that he will probably never work in that field again because he has a conviction of theft of trade secrets, which mean one more spot for me when I graduate with my engineering degree in a couple of years. biggrin.gif

i am pretty sure if amd can gain other idea withe these technology(wich always happen, espacially when you have ibm or ati as allies)amd probably wont use intel stuff anyway.but they might optimise their design.because lets face it the latest gen on intel did show something to amd.at 22 nm the techonoly isnt mature enough to be worth pouring money in it ,and i agree!for amd it is probably better to find new ways like mxll or fx aa is a good way ,hell i wouldnt be surprised to hear amd and nvidia polishing this enough to actually imbed new feature in those 2 option in the futur!like i say i bet that engineer stole stuff mostly useless to amd.it is just a scare tactic aimed at their actual engineer!

Gotcha

Ya I'm not a fan of outsourcing either.

LOL Intel, LOL.

Yeah that is pretty hilarious. Like the people that renovate their homes and cheap out to save 1% on supplies, only to need thousands of dollars worth of repairs the next year.
