Hey all,
recently came into some money and want to treat myself to a new tv. I am upgrading from a samsung 7 series 46" 3d lcd (which will go in the bedroom) looking for something 55" or more and dont really want to spend more than 1500. It seems like plasma is my best bet for a high quality tv in that size and price range but there are just so many and I am a little overwhelmed with the selection.
Please offer some opinions about my best choice with the following points in mind.
55" or higher
$1500.00 (give or take)
Not limited to Plasma but seems like a good choice

I am very fussy about picture quality. I notice blur and crushed blacks and washed out colors (my wife thinks im crazy because she isnt bothered by any of that)
