Noob w/ MSI GTX 560 448 Core Power Edition. How does my overclock look? Should I go higher?

Still new here, but I just got my MSI 560 448 and read this card overclocks pretty well, so I gave it a shot. I did some research online and I used this link as sort of a guide. Everything so far has gone very smooth with the overclock. Almost too smooth, which kinda worries me, but there haven't been any crashes or artifacts so I guess so far it's a solid overclock. I ran 3DMark11 and Unigine Heaven and everything went much better than expected. I upgraded from a ZOTAC GTX 550 Ti that was actually really strong after the 301.42 update but I just wanted something with more power. This is my first pc build and I'm on my second video card. I also played The Witcher 2 for 2.5hrs straight with no issues. Highest temps were at about 66-68 degrees. I'm looking to see if I can wring anything more out of it without overdoing it so any advice would be appreciated. Or if something looks wrong please let me know. Thanks. thumb.gif

Also, my specs are below. Yes, I'm aware 1200 is a lot for my current system.

NZXT Phantom full tower w/ all fans
AMD Phenom II X6 1045T OC to 3.5GHz
Antec Kuhler 620 dual fans
Gigabyte 990XA UD3
SanDisk 120GB SSD
Seagate 1.5TB HDD
4X2GB OCZ Gold 1333
MSI 560-448 Core
Antec TPQ 1200 PSU

your temps are decent. i have a gtx 570 twin frozr III i push 906mhz core with +60mv so if anything you might either might be able to squeeze a few more mhz outta the core or leave it were its at and drop your mv down a few decreasing your temps a bit. I never hit above 55 c. with mine at the stated settings. Every card is different not to mention your on the 560ti. I had that card for a month. Was a great card and if i recall i hit about the same core as you with a little less heat. Is your ambient temps a little high. Don't get me wrong your way under your max temp but i like to keep my components as cool and fast as possible. For your first time though thats pretty solid.

oh and one other thing your memory clock doesn't do alot so don't push it to much it always just made my overclocks unstable so i leave mine at 2100mhz like you got it now.

Thanks for your reply. Usually, in this room, it stays pretty cool but it has reached 109 three times this week so sometimes it gets a little warmer than usual. With all the case fans it tends to keep everything pretty cool but once the gpu gets going its like a small heater. I think I saw the voltage peak at +62mv during a period of heavy gaming so I dropped it down from +75 to +70 and if it stays stable I might drop it a couple more. Thanks again.

Great overclock! You could keep going, especially if you take the time to set yourself a nice fan profile. About your RAM, AMD systems prefer low timings to bandwitdh, so you could try that out, do some benches to compare!
