and plus im not sure i have the skill to do it (ill give it a go)
If you dont think you have the ability to, dont do it. Have someone else do it. Also make sure 100% that the cooler will fit in the space.

Make sure 1000 times over that its compatible. I bought a cooler for a 465 once. Said it was compatible. It wasnt, by a lot.

That's what worries me! It's a lot of money just to find it doesn't fit! I'll do it myself I've built the entire thing myself so changing a GPU cooler should be easy enough, because I have never had this issue before! First time SLI setup

Go through the forums and search. There is a dedicated thread for 400/500 series cards and whats compatible. If you cant find it out that way, measure the stuff yourself.

How many RPM are your fans? Do they get much airflow through the entire case?

Hey,

Okay, here are my issues with this system:

1) Cables. They're horrid. Fix them to where it looks like ace_finland's PC on MOTM.
2) Air flow. You need positive static pressure. Have three intake, three exhaust. I see you're using the two top 120's and the rear 120 as exhaust. Have three intake to fix that issue.
3) CPU cooler. You have it flipped the wrong way. Flop it to where the fan is near the RAM instead of pulling air from the exhaust. That's keeping hot air inside the case.
4) Crank up the GPU cooler speeds to about 70-100%. Or, just alternatively buy the biggest most expensive cooler you can find and OC the crap out of it.
5)Flip the Cougar PSU Downwards if there are vent holes on the bottom. If you have carpet flooring, find something to prop the case up on. Something like a REALLY sturdy card-board tray box (Something that holds like oranges.)
6) Move things around to accommodate airflow reasoning, like the heatsink first. If you have hard-drives, move them to the lowest spot possible in the case so they don't get in the way of fans. If you're really worried about HD temp, get a HD cooler.

Okay, that's enough blabbing for me. thumb.gif

That's some sound advice there smile.gif I think I'll invest in some decent case fans first, (can u recommend any?)

While waiting for them I'll check my PSU an turn my CPU cooler round, and sort my wiring out smile.gif

That advice is where I came here smile.gif

yes all of this exactly. it looks like your psu if pulling fresh air away from the bottom card, exhaust your cpu cooler out of the back so the heat from that has no where to go but right out of the case, and organize the cables - they are destroying cases airflow.

do as much, or preferably, all of the stuff on Brownies list, and watch the magic happen.

also don't even bother with re-applying paste to the cards I think we can solve this problem with out going through the hassle thumb.gif
