Yamakasi Catleap Blu Ray Issue

Anyone else that has a Catleap able to play back Bluray movies/tv shows?

Here is one of the errors I looked up.

Why can't CyberLink PowerDVD output Blu-ray or CPRM disc content to my display device?

In some OEM versions, CyberLink PowerDVD cannot output Blu-ray and CPRM disc content to analog display devices due to copy protection. To play this content, you must use a display device with a DVI or HDMI input interface that supports HDCP copyright protection.

I play BluRays over my Catleap, but it only has a DVI connection.

Ya mine is single input, Dual Link DVI connection as well....

It could just be the software I am using or the Internal Blu Ray I am using...

What software are you using to play your blu rays?

Or your video card? Seems like I remember something in my Nvidia control panel saying my card was HDCP ready, I just thought that meant HDMI out, not sure. But it'll play BluRays over HDMI to my home theatre, too. GTX 680, FWIW.

My BluRay software is what came bundled with the Pioneer BDR-2207, a Cyberlink suite of playing and burning software

PowerDVD 10 BD3D
PowerDirector 9
Power2Go 7

Is the Drive I got. Took me a while to put my machine together and I have till Friday to decide if I need to return the Drive or not.. Ima keep looking around and see if I can resolve the issue before that... Im glad to know that Catleaps can play Blurays.. Cause I have a Game of Throne's Season 1 and I love that show so much i like to rewatch it a lot.

Wish I had any input to give ya, but I'm not really up on these things. I will say that the Blu Ray playback on the Catleap is excellent, and I can clone it over to the Panasonic plasma via HDMI. With the onboard Pioneer, the Catleap looks way better than the plasma, but on my stand alone BluRay player, Oppo BDP-83SE, the plasma looks way better.

But the bottom line is the monitor will do it, just need to find out what's holding you back. Def not the video card(s) biggrin.gif

Ya working out all the possibilities. On Amazon the Bluray Drive I have isn't rated very highly.. So Im going to assume that is the cause for the issue, while messing around with other things. Worse case scenario I send it back to Amazon tomorrow and get one that Others seem to have no issue with.

I don't know if a burner is in the cards, but this BDR-2207 is OK so far, and if you don't care about BDXL, the BDR-207 is like $10 cheaper. The physical drives are the same, just firmware to do the BDXL format.

Ok.. Resolved the issue... Turns out it was the Monitor. I was using modified ATI Drivers to overclock my monitor to 113hz and that was making it fail HDCP copyright. The awesome Toasty has fixed my issue and made a program that switches between the two.. So I can overclock my monitor on applications that function without HDCP and switch to standard ATI drivers for Bluray that doesn't.
