[CL] Razer Taipan Review

When it comes to gaming, little detailing matters a lot. When it comes to choosing a mouse, the right choice can make the difference between dominating a server and rage quitting with a sore hand. Gaming mice are one of those items that everyone enjoys upgrading. We can use the same keyboard for years but a new mouse is highly desirable and is one the things that are most frequently updated.
Razer Taipan is a great looking mouse that offers excellent grip, precise tracking, 8 programmable buttons and a perfect customization and tweaking software; the Razer Synapse 2. Build quality is top notch. You get no fortuitous sounds, creaks, or flex. Ambidextrous design is nice for left-handed users but those used to right handed designs should try it out first. I didn’t had any trouble with it during long gaming sessions but It might not be much comfortable for right handed users with bigger hands.

Now this is something i am planning to get:)

I've only ever heard bad things about Razer mice. One particular friend is on his 5th Razer mouse, I guess that's what good advertisement does. I know my Roccat Kone+ isn't known for reliability either but so far, it's served me very well.

Also I personally don't see how "Size not adjustable" is a con. 99% of mice aren't adjustable, it's not an issue, it's just nice on those mice that have that ability.

Well my Naga has never given me any problems other than being a bit picky about mouse pads.

I have been using a logitech g9x and after 3 months of use it has bad wire,if you wiggle the wire about a inch out of where it connects to the mouse it cuts out. Kinda surprised scince its suppose to be a good mouse but they are gonna send me a new 1 once i send mine to them.

Hope it works out. I have a G9X, working fine after a year and some months I believe.

On Topic: Looks interesting enough, wondering if I could come up for a few applications for 8200 DPI.

unfortunately, my kone (non+) has been my least reliable mouse so far.
i waited ages to be able to get an opportunity to buy it in the US, and had it imported....
things on it started braking a year later, not long after warranty, roccat would do NOTHING to work with me, just "your warranty is over, tough"
first it was my scroll wheel, broke in randomly during normal use
then my left click started going shortly after... has so many problems
ugh, i hate that company, they did me dirty.

Ive had my Deathadder for about three years now, works like a charm although lately it will do a double click when I meant a single. Could be me though.

Last time I remembered this uses a PTE (I think) which had problems, but I haven't been looking at mice for a long, long time.

I've had the same Logitech G3 for the last 6 years... Guess they don't make em like they used to

I like the look of the grilles at the front of the mouse, makes it look very... Lamborghini!

Its really funny, I have had my Kone for 3 years now, and i have dropped it countless times, yet mine still works perfectly... as such

I have ran into the single click is a double click problem, Whenever it does that it i literary smash the mouse button a few times and it works as normal O.o Also the mouse wheel will sometimes jam, So i smash that up a bit too, I dont do it out of frustration i do it because it works surprisingly and i find it unlikely ill break it anyway.

Still its getting old now, And what better way to replace it than get the roccat kone + XTD on release :3

Most important feature for me is the braided cable, Had to stretch this one a few times.
