Is anyone finding the G700 uncomfortable?

I made a thread a while ago about getting a wireless gaming mouse, newegg had a promotion and I ended up getting a G700, but now I am finding it's a bit on the uncomfortable side.

#1. its a bit small for my hand, I didn't imagine that it would be so small, most pictures led me to believe it was an much bigger mouse.
#2. Side has a curve, it likes to push your thumb up but at the same time it pushes it towards those side buttons, the side buttons have an odd angle/shape, to top I hate the transition of materials on the side buttons.

I am really considering returning this mouse and getting something else even if it costs more.
Does anyone else have any more suggestions? I was using a MS Habu mouse, it was really nice until the wire got damaged.

I, too, found it completely uncomfortable. It's the main reason I returned it for a G500. The G500 fits my hand like a glove, but has other issues, like positive acceleration, that make it less than perfect as well. Don't get me wrong, the G700 is a great mouse, but I'm guessing you need to really dig the shape, or have a certain sized hand to really enjoy it. As for what you should get instead, that really depends on your grip style. I imagine you use a palm grip if you gravitated for the G700. In that case, I really recommend a Deathadder as a replacement. It has a much better sensor, but the quality isn't going to be nearly as good.

I find the Habu mouse comfortable, it's really nice for what it is but it is no longer being made. I would rather go wireless but it seems like my options are a bit limited. I hear the razer wireless has some tracking issues, battery life, and software lag when you try to use the razer software. I might get desperate enough to try a wired mouse.

I actually like the fit and feel of the g700 quite a bit. The only gripe I have would be weight for me as a like a lighter mouse. To to the op, Whats yours grip style? I'm sure once you post that some other users can chime in to give you some suggestions and point you in the right direction.

I think palm grip,
just put my habu next to it, seems the g700 shape makes it hard for me to climb my palm in it, on the G700 it hangs off the back of the mouse. I think I am not loving that weird texture the g700 has, if I had smaller hands I would be happy with it.

Here's some pics I took.

So far I can't just mention the negative stuff. The things I like about the G700 so far were good tracking. The left mouse button is the right amount of stiff so I don't accidentally set it off.

Negatives would be maybe shape, can't accomodate my hand, Abyssmal battery life (can run mouse with cord thou). Weird texture creates friction, side button placement and odd angles. Too front heavy.

Lovin' my 700 but if I had one wish it would be for the side buttons to be 1/4" farther forward.

I love the shape of the G700, my only issue(s) with it would be the sensor and the weight. Perfect mouse for me without those 2 issues.

I tried the G700 in an electronic store.

It is good sized for my hand in general. But I can't reach the left mouse button at the front.
Even tough I have rather large hands with 18,5cm from wrist to tip of middle finger.

Too large for me, I tend to fingertip/claw grip. Perfect number of buttons, but just too big and heavy (thing weighs a ton). I don't really like palming the mouse because moving my entire arm always feels so imprecise and awkward.

Though no mouse is really that great for me, the closest to perfect for me was/is the G9x and the zowie ec2. But the zowie doesn't have enough buttons and the G9x is a bit heavy and the scroll wheel blows.

Most definitely having a palm grip. Your hand engulfs that mouse lol. I feel like the g700 is a good palm grip style mouse for a user that has a more narrow based palm. I would look into something else if you have the money to spend. I think its easier to change the mouse than holding style.
