For a while in the last couple months I was in the same boat as you, my room was extremely hot. Now it's still hot but not as bad. I was thinking about getting water cooling with an external radiator in another room, but I don't have that kind of money.

It's been pretty mild down here till bout 10 days ago.

Ever since about 4 - 5 days ago it's been in the low 70's upper 60's which I love. Colder the better. Right now my room is about 88 while it's 62 outside because of my computer.

I have no knowledge of this model, just picked a random one from Amazon and looked it up on its manufactures website for the watts.
If you're 17, go to the mall and chase some girls. Go to a friends house and mooch off his parents cold air.

Doesn't look bad, and i'm out 4 or 5 days of the week doing that exact thing and some nights at friends houses but the days at my house is horrible. Being in a two-story doesn't help either - down stairs is ice cold and up stairs is a furnace.

Pretty much, and the next 2 months is going to be about the same as it is now.

if you have a very old ac unit, it is time to replace it.
like with any technology they make them use less energy and more efficient at cooling.

other than that you could always try recharging the ac unit. systems that old really could use it.

Here in Australia (Queensland) it can get up around 40c ambient during summer ( I think thats around 110F, not too sure though), and with humidity to boot it makes it pretty hard going. But you get used to it. I only have a ceiling fan in my computer room. I have summer and winter clocks for my PC aswell to cope with the heat in summer. But yeah opening windows at night and closing them in the morning and covering them up can help a bit

If you have the money available. Portable A/C unit as suggested above. A few months ago, our outside condensing unit blew out. Which the whole system as a whole basically needed to be replaced in my house. While we waited to make sure we had the money to cover everything. Borrowed a 12k BTU indoor portable A/C unit from my brother in law. It worked very well to cool off our house. Kept the main parts and the rooms about ~80* give or take. 1800sqft house. However, it did take it a day or two to get things down. But when it did. Made a big diff from the 90+ w/80% humidity it was here in Miami.
Just make sure you have a window close by to run the exhaust too, make sure you have a decent bucket for the water drainage tube. I would have to empty a 5 gal bucket every 12hrs or so.

Guys ever been to India? Here the humidity shoots through the roof and the heat is sky rocketing high! During the summer room temps are around 32c. It gets even hotter sometimes. Overclocks become unstable, which totally sucks! I feel your pain and my computer feels it too:D
