Thoughts on the CM Quickfire Pro Quality

Thread Starter
Hey there guys, I'm looking for advice from Quickire Pro and Quickfire Rapid owners.

I'm seriously starting to consider this keyboard now, I was looking at the Black Widow but after the Lycosa I'm using now I'll never buy a Razer keyboard again, ever.

So what are these CM Keyboards like? I'm thinking that the blue switches will be best for me cause I usually only game for a very little amount of the time, like, not even every day. I only really play Minecraft, and sometimes racing game (planning on getting a controller though) So should I get Blue or Black switches if I get it.

I've gotten the impression that the cooler master series keyboards are pretty good quality, I don't have one though. I can however vouch for the blue switches. I have a filco with blues and it is an absolute joy to type on. Many contend that they are the better mech switches for gaming; they certainly did me well while I used my filco. They are noisy though, so you might wake up anyone near you during late night gaming.

When you say loud, how loud?

It is louder than 30DB or so?

Its a very audible click clack. You may not hear them with headphones on,but anyone else near you will. I opted to get a topre for quieter keys after a while.

I've had my CM Storm Trigger for 3 days now and from what I've feeling and noticing so far is it's built like a tank. I forgot where I read this, but apparently this board(maybe others series too?) are produced by the same manufacturer as Filco. Might be true, might not, but either way, I'm not getting any flimsy feels from this board at all.

You might have found the answer, but brown switches are sort of the quiet blue switch. They have the tactile feeling of the blue switch, but are also quieter because the tactile feeling is less pronounced. Brown switches are generally seen as the middle ground between typing and gaming.

Anyone else have the issue of sometimes the keyboard not being recognized on bootup? I just had to restart like 8 times and I tried different usb ports each time but it finally got recognized.
