Hey guys, so I sold my Dell u2410 on ebay, and I'm debating what I should get to replace it. I mostly play RPGs/shooters. GW2, BF3, etc....

I sold it with the idea that I was going to get a Korean 27 IPS....but, I'm contemplating a 3 screen setup too. I don't know what to do. I need some help.

My Rig is a 2500k overclocked to 4.3, a 7970 overclocked to 1100/1300. I just can't decide. I've always only gamed on 1 screen before. There are a couple things I require: IPS screen. I love the way they look over TN panels, I could never go back. Ok, so that's all I need.

Thanks in advance, plan on ordering today.

Single monitor, no contest.

Single, large, high-quality monitor. Multi-monitor configs are a novelty IMO.

That's kinda what I was leaning towards, but I wanted the opinions of fellow geeks before I decide.

I've read a lot about the Catlead/Simian/etc monitors....are they really worthwhile having only a dual-dvi port? I know they are way less expensive, but it just worries me to order something that is basically barebones with 0 warranty (essentially)?

If you can wait just a short time longer this is basically a "Korean monitor" from a California company with HDMI, DVI, Displayport, etc... plus a much more adjustable stand and better grade panel.

personally, I like to do other stuff while watching shows/movies. So, I need at least 2 monitors. Unfortunately the best setup for me seems to be 2 27"...

overlord computers should be releasing their 2560X1440 sometime this month they have a DVI-DL only version and a Multi version which has DP, HDMI, DVI-DL, and VGA inputs.

an excerpt from their site.

"A US-based company offering Grade "A" 27" S-IPS LG displays at competitive prices. Why eBay when you can buy from a trusted source? Overlord provides warranty, service, and support for all of our computer displays from California."

So a warranty and no international shipping. win win to me smile.gif

Also they will be releasing a 120Hz capable one hopefully by the end of October so if you're patient you can get some buttery smooth refresh thumb.gif
