I've heard bad ghosting about that lg, bad back light bleed about the asus, bad lag and ag coating on the dells, bad this and bad that. none of them are perfect...even the koreans...everyone has an opinion

Ya know, if there's one brand I absolutely highly dislike it's ASUS. Their customer service hung up on me while I was trying to resolve a motherboard issue. I did eventually buy another ASUS product, but they have a long way to go to fix their rep as far as I'm concerned.

I messed with I multi monitor setup and kind of liked it but you can't get all games to work right off the bat. It also takes more GPU power/Vram to run your games and cost more than the Korean options for 1440p. Movie quality doesn't really benefit from 1440 or surround.

The main reason I love my Dell so much is because of the color pop. The colors are fantastic....will the difference be noticeable do you think?

Your dell is a 10bit color monitor thats where the 1 billion colors come from (10bit binary so 2^10 aka 1024 per RGB)

Niexeus does not make a 10 bit version ( that i can find) but you can get a Crossover 10bit version if you truly wish for it.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Do you have a link to any of the Crossover 10bit ones?

First one I found in google.
quite a bit more expensive than 8 bit counterparts but hey for those who enjoy it I'm sure its worth it. Case and stand are much better than a lot of the other Korean brand ones. Full metal casing plus 90 degree swivel and height adjustment.

The u2410 is a wide gamut monitor. You ran it in SRGB mode for games?

As I understand it, all those Korean units are standard gamut. Just make sure one of the reasons you think you like IPS so much, isn't because you've become accustomed to the garish over-saturated colours of a wide gamut monitor displaying non-colour-managed applications.

I'm not trying to insult your intelligence, but I just want to make sure you're aware of this... Since the big IPS fad started, I can't believe how many people have bought an IPS display because someone told them they provide better colour accuracy, ended up with a wide gamut one, and used it only in non-colour managed apps with horrible over-saturation - so much for 'colour accuracy'.

Some of them even think that the over-saturation is the "wonderful IPS colours" in action, and probably would've been scarcely able to distinguish between their new monitor and their old TN monitor with 'Digital Vibrance' ramped up.

Heh, well that's embarrassing. Yes, I ran everything on my U2410 in the same mode. I didn't know that that was caused by the 10bit panel, I thought it was just because it was an IPS. That being said, I do enjoy the greater viewing angle, and even though 95% of the time I do sit head on it still makes a difference if anyone else is watching a movie with me on it.

No offense taken.

I have no idea what digital vibrance is, as none of my previous monitors had said feature. That being said, I'd still prefer to have an IPS panel (a 10bit one at that).

This come to a point I want to say that gaming purpose, gamut doesn't really matter but the contrast does which can reflect dark are of the games. Otherwise, if you're doing photography and professional designs, you would want to buy in a level like Dell U2711 (12bits). Or some higher end monitors which costs in the upper $1500-$2000.

Korean monitors are just $300-$400...
