[ADVICE NEEDED] Second hand Watercooling - Page 2

Thread Starter
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.

I've done quite a lot of reading lately and I know the exact models of every component (I'll put links to them later). Apparently tubing size isn't totally about personal preference (that's if you already have a pump model) because of flow and pressure. With the pump I'll be getting thin tubing is recommended, the D5 would be for the larger hose.

- EK Supreme HF Full Copper
- One of two EK-CoolStream RAD XTC (280)
- Laing DDC-1 Plus 12 Volts (Swiftech MCP355) + Alphacool plexi top
- Four Noctua NF P14 FLX

Do you think that pump can handle 2 of those rads or would they be too much (in which case I'd only take one of them). How well would the NF P14 FLX perform in a single push or pull set up (the guy sold the other 4 so I can only have 4 fans, meaning no push/pull unless I can find 4 other cheap 140mm fans which I'd probably do over time anyway)

I won't ever be SLI ing but I'll be getting a new GPU as replacement and watercooling it within a year (probably a GTX 7** card) so do you think it's worth taking both of those rads (I'd probably get away with only 20 more € for the second one) or would one be enough for a CPU+GPU loop.

PS: I looked those crazy triple rotary things and wow they're like 20€ unit !

Hard to say how temps will be for a custom loop, you'll only know after you build it. I think maybe 25-35~ Cº for the cpu with an ambient 14-20~Cº.

Its important you do a sketch of how you want your loop.
I'm using the 18W version of that pump with 1/2-3/4 hose, and its plenty for 2 rads, 2 gpu WB and cpu plus a few tight turns.

This is where I buy all of my hardware, http://www.coldzero.eu/

Post this thread on the http://www.overclock.net/t/584302/ocn-water-cooling-club-and-picture-gallery for more advice.

Pump will handle everything fine.
Tubing size has little to no effect so just take the size you want. If you're going to make sharp bends get a anti-kink coil or thicker walled tubing (higher OD) but then you'd need to buy the right compression fittings as well. For barbs it doesn't matter. You can also put 3/8 (PITA sometimes but it's perfectly possible) or 7/16 tubing on a 1/2 barb if you go for barbs and you don't want clamps.

Here are some other EU shops for watercooling in case you need some new stuff:
it-service.be (Belgian shop, very friendly guy but € 20 shipping to france? kidding me? Not sure if he speaks french...)
highflow.nl (pretty well-known shop, not always the best prices, especially on fittings but bigger range of brands. Fast delivery)
aquatuning.nl or .de (Normal prices but sometimes has a bigger range of brands, not a lot of choice in fittings)

EDIT:
Depending on the store you can get fittings in a hardware store nearby but they often have a long thread which could be incompatible with some WC stuff.
