HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Hello there, i have just switched out an Amd motherboard as well as a phenom ii x4 840 processor for a z77 pro4 motherboard, as well as an intel core i5 2500k. I had to do a windows repair, and i used a windows 7 ultimate repair disk that i got. The last thing left, is that the computer asks for windows 7 product key. I need an WIn 7 64 bit product key, and i was wondering which windows thing do i get? im confused... do i need to get this? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5213938&CatId=306

That is a laptop................ you cannot put an i5 2500k in one. its obviously a desktop.. i need a new key.

Get Retail, OEM is for pre-built PCs. You would have issues activating if you decided to use it after upgrading hardware.

It shouldn't automatically activate if you replace your motherboard, and you have to call MS to explain them and activate it by phone. At least that's how it's supposed to work.

So just buy a windows 7 64bit home premium key? Whats the issue here?

OEM - Cannot be transferred from the computer you install it on.
Retail - Can be transferred within limitations from computers.

Basically if your gonna keep your pc, buy OEM. If you plan on changing it within one to two years, buy Retail. Also dont buy Ultimate unless you need the extra features, just go for home premium.
