Google supporting Samsung is very nice. I hope more companies will chip in and fight back at companies abusing the patent system.
Apple`s strategy is clear as the sky: Feature other companies technology, put it inside a well designed square and tell people you made everything about the phone. That goes for all Apple products, wether its an Iphone, Ipad, mac or whatever. And lets not forget the most important part about Apple`s business strategy: Patent everything you can come over, and sue everyone who makes anything that resembles your rounded squared phone and stop everyone who tries to progress.
You make me sick Apple

Who told you that?

Was there any phone like the iPhone when it came out? Its design, build quality and interface was far superior to anything at that time. Agree they are a patent troll, but what has that got to do with not buying their products?

They got the retina displays and other manufacturers are going to follow. Isn't it good in a way?

I'm going to get hammered for this tongue.gif

Because that's exactly how one would make his point known. If you strongly disagree with a companies methods, you avoid purchasing your products and supporting them.

Your on the right track, if it wasn't for the iPhone all of those galaxy s type phones wouldnt exist, look at the main type of phones that were out before the iPhone came out, most had plastic keyboards and very few, if any, had a smooth easy to use touch screen and far from easy GUI. The app store? < that was revolutionary for a phone!

The way I see it, yes apple is patent trolling, but the iPhone is like all of the other phone companies inspiration. These other phones owe the iPhone (apple) a concept royalty check for any sale of a big touch screen rectangular shape phone.

If you own a big touch screen rectangular shape phone and it does not have an apple logo etched in then you do not own a phone, you sir own an iPhone concept.. That is all

NOTHING about Iphone is original. Apple look for ideas and design at other companies just like everyone does. They playing the victim role and suing everyone is pretty unique for this company though. Which is why I literally can`t stand Apple

I think most of us are in agreement that the current patent system needs a massive overhaul for the 21st century.

The "Sony" is a prototype made by Apple engineers because Jobs was a fan of Sony devices. While Samsung does have prototypes before the first iPhone that Sony prototype was called "Jony". Please both of you arguing are misinformed.
