SENTINEL, if you are going to edit my post at least have the courtesy of informing me..

^ That's what it comes down to I think. But I'm a peasant who doesn't really keep up with such techie things. I use OCN as my go-to tech site mostly and defer to you smarter guys/gals.

I read a post that really hit a tone with me, something like: "Apple/Samung have a symbiotic relationship"... My take: Only thing is, Apple doesn't really make anything; Sammy is everywhere, and showing no signs of slowing down. RAM chips, processors, phones/tabs, fridges, TVs.... Throw a free open-source OS on top of the mobile devices and, Apple sees a threat.

A good point was made a couple of posts back: Apple almost went belly up once but, they brought Jobs back. He's dead. Gone. It could happen again.

Maybe I'm over simplifying too much but, I think Apple just wants to put the brakes on Sammy until they get the "Next Big Thing" lined up.

I think Apple feels like they have a legitimate gripe, but because these companies all work together on some level, it's rare to see a lawsuit of this magnitude. But yes, if Samsung didn't have a nice chunk of the smartphone market share, Apple wouldn't care.

As said Gerickjohn, the prototype was designed by APPLE engineers. Don't post stuff when you're facts aren't right. thumb.gif

You're right. But I think this is a legitimate argument:

Edit: Apologies for allowing this to degrade into an argument about the Samsung vs Apple case.

Google and Samsung have been strong partners, while Google and Apple are direct competitors--Google is making the obvious move, here.
