The 1600mhz ram is a possibility if the performance difference isnt worth a whole $10, as far as the psu, the plan is to get a more powerful card later or Xfire the 7770, so
feel better with a 700w. Were looked at the 300r but he loves the 400r just a few more features without buying the 500r and its $10 off on newegg right now

The faster speeds will probably benefit benchmarks more than in game situations so I think it would probably be best to save money on that. As for wattage, i doubt ull go above 500W. My rig doesnt draw that much wattage. Also many cards probably wont need that much wattage regardless of whether or not u go full load. The crossfired 7770 for sure will not take up more than 400W maybe not even 300W

Umm...

What is wrong with his comparison? Someone asked for suggestions on video cards in a very specific price range, and he gave a comparison that fit the price range. It isn't his fault Nvidia doesn't have a current generation product in that price range to be competitive with. If you were car shopping and were going to spend $25,000 you aren't going to stand there and say "Well I can't really compared Car A with Car B because one is a model year older." You are going to look at your choices and get what is the best bang for the buck.

As for the OP's question. The 7770 is a great card for the money, although I would recommend checking out our forums marketplace and seeing what is available. To give you an idea on the deals you can score....

I bought a Core i5 2500K for about $50 under lowest retail, a Core i3 2100 for about $40 under retail, an NZXT Phantom case with extra fans for about $70, give or take $10, less than retail.....I have saved a ton of money using our marketplace.
