Antec H2O 620 in an i5 2500K?

Thread Starter
Hey guys,
Thinking about overclocking my i5 2500K to 4.5ghz, but I don't want to break the budget ($80 or less would be ideal) and I came across the Antec H20 620. Would that cooler be able to get me to a stable 4.5ghz? If I were to get this product, I would use a Noctua NF-S12B-FLX 120mm fan in a push pull configuration for maximum performance. Any help or advice would be appreciated. smile.gif

PC Specs:
CPU: i5 2500K @ stock clocks
GPU: Powercolour HD 6770
Mobo: AsRock z68 Pro 3 M
RAM: G-Skill Sniper DDR3 1333 F3-10666CL9D-8GBSR
Case: CoolerMaster Storm Enforcer
PSU: Thermaltake TR-700PCAU TR2 700Watt. 80+ Bronze

Thank you!

The 620 im sure would work. im not sure how well though since its such a thin radiator. You can get an H70, which has a larger radiator, for about $85 on newegg. My h70 works great and my cpu is at 4.5ghz

I'm assuming your CPU is an i5 2500k? Also, would you recckomend the H60 as a possible option? Thanks for your help smile.gif

i would recommend the antec 620 over the h60 if you make the choice for a smaller radiator. on newegg the 620 is cheaper anyway.
the 620 has better flexible tubes so it should help with mounting. the cheapest thick/large radiator is an h70. on newegg it goes for $85.
more thick rad choices are the antec 920, h100, and h80 and they all hit the $100 mark. my friend and I bought our radiators at the same time and he purchased an antec 920 while I bought an h70. both units have the exact same radiator except he paid over 100 for his because it has led lights on the pump and flexible tubes. thats pretty much it and they perform the same.

i've used the 620 before and it's a decent cooler, as well i've used the h60 and it performs just a tad better than the 620. between the two though I'd go with the 620 since it is cheaper

over those two would be the h80 or the h100, but the h100 is out of your price range i believe
