hi, ive been searching google about this problem of mine regarding my screen, but i cant find the exact solution. the thing is there are lots of glittering green and red dots appear all over my screen when i tried to bump the refresh rate from 60hz to 120hz. usually i dont have this problem when im using 60hz, but my friend gave me his nvidia 3d kit and tried to use it on my PC since my monitor can support 3D vision (LG W2363D) infact, it has a nvidia 3D vision ready sticker. now, was my monitor gone faulty or my GPU (nvidia GT 440)??

edited: i tried to put some screen shots of it but it wont show in the pictures...

can someone shed some light of wisdom regarding this problem

thanks!

Are you using the DVI-D cable that came with the monitor? The cable could possibly be faulty, borrow your friends DVI-D cable and see if the issue persists.

OK so i borrowed new DVI-D cable to my friend, it seems the glittering dots are gone, but it turns my monitor hideously blurry! i cant even read the icon names. but its odd that the wallpaper is still clear, only the icons and other desktop text are blurred.. dont know what to do now..

btw i overlooked your sig rig, it seems that we're using the same monitor ^_^

UPDATE: i found an interesting work around solution regarding to this problem, while on desktop, all of my icons, text, everything, (literally) was blurred out, but when i play games like RE5, the screen were smooth and crisp, i can tell really do tell it was running @ 120hz.

so for the mean time i will just bump it down to 60hz while surfing etc, and turn it up to 120hz on gaming.. geez watta pain..
