is the razer blackwidow ultimate worth buying?

Thread Starter
hi all im in the market for mechanical keyboard and i got my eye on the blackwidow ultimate
i was @ my friends house the other day and i heard that amazing clicking noise that the blackwidow have and i fell inlove
i did some reserch and i found out that it have blue switches
i liked it cause of the backlit keys and the USB hub and the headphone+mic jack that is very importent to me [im using razer lycosa now wich also have headphone+mic+usb and its very usefull to me]

so is that keyboard worth buying ?
if you think that its not i would love to get suggestion of other keyboards
cheers!

I really like mine, but at full price they are better options. If you can get one on sale I would

Great mechanical at under $100, but not really for the full MSRP of $130.

If you can get it for around $100 like on Amazon right now, do it. Otherwise, I would just save your money and get a better one. If you like the backlighting, maybe the Ducky Shine II when it comes out in a couple months.

Also keep in mind that the newer model of of the Black Widow just came out last week. It has green backlighting instead of blue and may have anti fingerprint glare or something. Not too sure the differences other than the backlighting. It may become difficult to get the older blue backlit version if it's discontinued.

Personally I prefer blue backlighting. Green just seems cheap to me, like something an 11 year old would want. That's just my opinion though.

if you need all the pretty lights, the better option is the deck http://www.deckkeyboards.com/

or maybe a duckey or something http://www.maxkeyboard.com/

but personally i like daskeyboard http://www.daskeyboard.com/

they just came out with a keyboard with media keys.

so i didnt liked the clicky sound on the k60-90 and i don think that there is any other decent keyboards to choose here exept for the blackwidow..
and i dont care much about fingerprint or green lighting biggrin.gif
